Abstract

The PETRONAS HSE Management System has been adopted throughout the PETRONAS group of companies to manage Health, Safety and Environment issues in a structured manner consistently. Having a system developed alone is not enough. The present expectations include implementing the system effectively and demonstrating that the controls instsituted by the management system actually work. At the corporate level in PETRONAS the challenges include acceptance of a consistent HSE management system throughout the group as well as in implementing the controls required in managing HSE effectively.
